Make a Campaign Contribution

Thank you for supporting my campaign for Brockville City Council.

Campaign contributions may be made by individuals who are normally residents of Ontario. Corporations, businesses, organizations and trade unions cannot contribute to a candidate.

Contribution limits

An individual may contribute:

• up to $1,200 to my campaign; and
• up to $5,000 in total to candidates running for Brockville City Council.

Contributions must be made using your own funds. Contributions to municipal election campaigns are not tax deductible.

Contribute by e-transfer

Please send your contribution by e-transfer to:

vote@jeremynewman.ca

Please provide:

• your full name;
• your residential address, including postal code; and
• if the transfer is from a joint account, the name of the one individual making the contribution.

If there is not enough room in the e-transfer message, please email this information separately to vote@jeremynewman.ca after sending your transfer.

Contribute by cheque or cash (under $25)

If you would prefer to contribute by cheque or by cash (for contributions of $25 or less only), please get in touch first by email at:

I will provide instructions on how to complete your contribution and ensure it is properly recorded and receipted in accordance with Ontario election rules.

Contributor declaration

By making a contribution, you confirm that:

• you are an individual normally resident in Ontario;
• the contribution is being made from your own funds;
• you have not contributed more than $1,200 to this campaign; and
• the contribution will not cause you to exceed the $5,000 total limit for contributions to candidates for Brockville City Council.

A campaign contribution receipt will be issued for every contribution.

Privacy and public disclosure: Ontario election law requires campaign financial reporting. If your contributions to this campaign total more than $100, your name, address and contribution information will be reported on the campaign’s public financial statement.
